The company CMS Filtration handles maintenance of automatic cleaning filters, in particular for filtration of natural water in difficult environments.

CMS FILTRATION has been present on all the continents for over 50 years.

1875: C.M.S (Construction Mécanique de Savoie) was founded in Chambéry (France)

1921: The company BRAILLON was founded by Mr J.M. Braillon in Montmelian (France)

1955: C.M.S. acquired a licence to manufacture and distribute BRASSERT automatic filters.

1971: BRAILLON bought C.M.S.: the filters were sold under the name BRASSERT-CMS BRAILLON

1975: The smaller filter models (B3 to B7) were now manufactured in mechanically welded steel. The largest ones continued to be made of cast iron.

1989: BRAILLON was taken over by the WALKER industrial group: CMS BRAILLON continued its filter manufacture activities within the group.

1993: The whole range switched to cast iron under the name of ranges C and D. Elimination of all points requiring regular maintenance operations.

1995: New E range.

2001: Creation of the company CMS FILTRATION replacing the filters activity of CMS BRAILLON.
